Favorite Gameplay

Let's see. . .

I like. . . I like shortcuts! Does that count? My general setup is:

  ⃞    Aero/aerora/aeroga - if unavailable: Blizzard/blizzara/blizzaga
  ⃤     Thunder/thundara/thundaga
 Hi-potion - if unavailable: Fire/fira/firaga
 Cure/Cura/Curaga

Mmmm... Also like. . . . . Hhh... Gotta say Drive, cuz I actually use them. . I like Anti-form; the mechanic too. That's pretty cool. . But I don't like the way growth abilities work? OK. So the idea is nice. You use a game mechanism and eventually earn Abilities! But the way it works is you go through the game and around endgame you go through and level up your drives strategically, utilizing the fact that if you go to the world map while in a Drive form and come back your Drive Gauge™ will be once again full. It takes a lot of time and planning to get a simple high jump or dodge ability-- not to mention that a regular old dodge roll (the first thing Donald and Goofers give you   ̌ ֊ ̌ <- nostalgic face   ̑ ﯩ ̑ <- eh? Uhh  ̑ ֊ ̑ ? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯) is nonexistent in the original version, and a growth ability for the Limit Form in the Final Mix version.
Plus, there's really no point to the growth abilities in the original; in Final Mix there's stickers and the Cavern of Remembrance (from my understanding).
So I prefer the "growth abilities" from the first game (rather, the group abilities, which are unlocked timewise/storywise rather than by leveling up like most abilities) such as glide,  high jump, and dolphin kick, which you used to get places. You needed those abilities, but the were not a pain to get. That's why we all loved Neverland so much.
And after you get glide, or high jump, or dolphin kick, you do it everywhere (except dolphin kick. you do that everywhere within Atlantica) out of pure joy and anticipation of all those treasure chests you saw but could not reach; those ledges which could hold something, but you wouldn't know until you got high jump. Your newfound independence from the dolphin/shark.
In KHII, you get these abilities, but the only one you use everywhere is sliding dash or whatever it is, because it makes you go faster. It's the equivalent of dodge-rolling across the Colosseum Gates floor.

Anyway. I love Dodge Roll. Goodnight.
