Um. So. Teacher's Pet.
spoilers, although really i don't recommend this movie
spoilers, although really i don't recommend this movie
- 3+(?) references to old Disney movies, progressively less obvious
- the dog wants to be a human
- he can already talk to humans
- and pass as a human when he tucks his ears and tail into his hat and pants
- even though he's blue
- so anyway
- he goes to this "wacko" who can supposedly turn animals into people
- although he can't
- but that's resolved in seconds when spot/scott (the dog) figures out that Dr. Krank or. . mr, i don't think that man's EVER been to medical school.. should be using mammals instead of swamp creatures-- reptiles, amphibians, and insects
- and so he volunteers as test subject
- and what it works
- so now spot is a human
- scott
- but he's a man
- like a grown up
- cuz you know... he's a dog
- so he's not really a child
- ok but then he goes back to the rv with his boy
- and they have to make up a wild story for his mom
- but then they start falling in love
- and at the end of the night scott starts calling leonard (the boy) son and stuff and leonard knows what's up: this is wrong on every possible level
- anyway scott leaves yada yada eventually he turns back into a dog but not before turning into a pile of blue ash. . .
- oi this movie was all over the place.
- oh also the mom's the kid and the dog (as scott lead-whatever)'s teacher
- so that adds to the wrongness levels.
- also the character designs are disgusting
- and the opening logo is the disney castle but WAY MESSED UP.
